How to Swap SCPs

Swapping breed SCPs was something we did all the time in the PKC but I've found a lot of people nowadays don't even know about it - it's very simple and can be helpful so here's a quick guide to keep the knowledge around

SCP swapping does not permanently change any of your petz's personalities and doesn't require any .pet hexing or a hex editor. It's a change in the breedfile only and will affect some parts of how that breed acts, including the way they pose and some of the breed's actions, and only while this edited breedfile is in your game. Just copy your un-swapped original backup back in when you're done, and all of your petz with that breed's personality will be back to normal

Also please note, the term 'SCP' is now widely used to mean a pet or breed's entire personality - this tutorial is just about the actual SCP section in each breedfile, not that!!

Step 1 - Extracting an SCP

First, open the breed with the personality you want to use in LnzPro

Find the +SCP section on the left and expand it, then select the breed abbreviation - this one is BD for Bulldog

Right-click on +BD and click Save to file

Save this somewhere, I have a folder called SCPs inside my Backups folder

You can just name the file 'BD' with no file type, or whatever makes the most sense for you!

Step 2 - Importing an SCP

Now open the breed you want to change in your game - I'll use the Dalmatian here

Expand the +SCP section again

Right-click on the breed's abbreviation and this time choose Replace from file

Find and choose your BD SCP file you had saved in step 1

It will (and needs to) still say +DM here (or whatever breed you're working in) but the section contents will be from the Bulldog now

Save and you're done!

Now every pet you put in your game with a Dali personality will act mostly like a Bullie instead, and only while this edited breedfile is in your game. You can switch them around whenever you like!

Useful SCP Swaps

★ Poodle with any other dog breed SCP lets Poodle personalites pose normally

✦ Siamese with B+W Shorthair SCP can pose for the camera and will still keep angry eyelids

★ Orange Shorthairs with another cat breed SCP won't be afraid or run constantly
